Ramglam Esthetics turns 1!

Have you ever been so busy in life that you forgot to celebrate the wins? As a working solo-preneur I have spent much of my time being productive and doing all of the things that I skipped right over a huge win. I recognized that I did not take a moment to celebrate me and all that I have been doing over the past year. I posted in one of my mentoring groups that I was $100 short of hitting my monthly goal. Everyone congratulated me and told me I should celebrate. After some thought, I realized I didn’t know how to celebrate myself. I am growing my business organically and increasing my sales monthly, huge win. Instead I was thinking about August’s goals and what needed to happen. Moving forward I will celebrate the wins and the progress.

When I stopped to celebrate my being in business I realized some key factors that helped me to keep moving forward.

  1. I had a vision and a goal of what I set out to do. I have a great set of clients who are superstars and I let them know this constantly. I love the way my clients show up and commit to their skincare journey. The worthiness to celebrate woman that stop and say, I’ve done all of the mom things, I’ve been there for everyone else and now it’s time to be there for myself. Hearing that warms my soul and is affirming that I am making the impact that I set out to make.

  2. I committed to the process. Once I started taking clients at the Beauty Boutique there was a mindset shift. What started out as only wanting to take clients 2-3 times per month turned into 2-3 times per week. I was motivated by the support I was receiving from the owner as well as clients “showing up”. I was showing up for something much bigger than myself, it was no longer a hobby. I was helping both women and men feel good and look good and that was worth the commitment. When there was an announcement of the shop closing, I could have cut my loses, instead I doubled down and remembered what my vision and goal was.

  3. I sought out like minded professionals with specialized knowledge. I understood early that there are people that are where I want to be and I should position myself to follow their breadcrumbs instead of trying to figure it out on my own.

My clients have also realized that. Those who see the best results are those who have a goal for their skin, have committed to monthly facials with recommended product usage and they are working with me as their skincare professional.

If you have not fully committed to seeing a profession but want to start somewhere, start here:

  1. Take pictures weekly. Look for progress over time with your skin and you will be able to recognize if there’s been improvements if you are properly caring for your skin.

  2. Be patient. Of course you are tired of hearing this but it’s true. Imagine how long you have been exposing your skin to products, stressors, environmental stressors and unhealthy habits (do you truly thoroughly cleanse your skin every night?) Years of bad habits will not be erased in one facial. One facial is a start to seeing changes in your skin but there must be a commitment on your end.

  3. Be consistent. Consistency with your home care regimen is a start.

If you want to celebrate your skin and receive endless compliments on your glowing skin here’s how you can start.

It’s a scary place to be when you notice things are changing and you don’t know where to turn. What warms my beauty soul is when my client start seeing results after putting in that work. It’s a privilege to witness someone feeling good about themselves because they have put in the work and the compliments are flowing in abundance. Imagine going from people staring at you wondering what’s wrong with your skin? To constantly hearing that your skin looks amazing and you’re glowing. I’m smiling with you at that visual.

Notice how far you have come. Take a moment celebrate your progress.
