Why do I need to fill out an Intake form? Especially if I’ve had a facial before?

It’s better to be safe than sorry, we respect your privacy and all information shared is confidential.

What should I avoid before getting a facial?

You should stop using retinols, Retin-A and other exfoliating products at least 3-7 days before your facial. Check with your esthetician if you are unsure of your products or ingredients that are exfoliants. Avoid shaving or hair removal 24-48 hours before your facial to minimize skin sensitivity.

What should I expect after receiving a facial?

Glowing, hydrated, smooth, healthy looking skin. Depending on the exfoliation done during your facial you may experience slight peeling, flaking, redness and/or skin sensitivity is possible after a facial. Follow your esthetician’s aftercare regimen for best results.

How do I know which treatment to book?

If you’re unsure what to book, don’t worry. Each treatment begins with a skin analysis and we will customize your service based on your goals.

How soon will I see results after my facial?

Clients typically see satisfying results immediately after their facial. Results may vary based on individual skin concerns. Your skin will appear brighter, more hydrated and less congested. In order to maintain your results recommended products are suggested for home care.

What is the difference between an facial and a Hydrafacial™?

A facial is a professional skincare treatment designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and improve the overall health of your skin. It helps address concerns like dryness, breakouts, dark spots, sensitivity, and signs of aging while keeping your skin balanced and glowing.

A Hydrafacial™ takes those results a step further by using patented vortex technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and infuse the skin with hydrating serums rich in antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The result is smoother, brighter, deeply hydrated skin with no downtime.

How often should I receive a facial?

The typical rate for skin turnover is every 35-45 days (as you age the turnover rate increases). Facials are a great way to exfoliate, deep cleanse and increase the circulation of your blood in your face and decollate. Facials should be done monthly to improve and maintain the overall health of your skin. Facials every season with a great home care routine is an alternative to monthly facials.

Do you treat acne?

We offer an Acne Bootcamp Clear Skin Program which is a 12 week holistic approach to clearing and maintaining acne caused by hormonal changes, clogged pores, bacteria, environment and stress. If you are experiencing occasional breakouts and need a deep cleanse and pore extractions a 60 or 90 minute treatment is sufficient.

I want a chemical peel, do you offer that?

Yes, we love chemical peels. We begin by preparing the skin properly to ensure safer and better results.

I have an upcoming event, how many days before my event can I get a facial?

Typically 2-3 days before an event is fine. If this is your first facial or your first facial in a long time it’s recommended to do a couple of treatments before your big event. Weddings, you should probably get 2-3 facials before your wedding in order to prepare your skin for your big day. If you are looking for corrective (ie, acne or hyperpigmentation you may need to start your facial treatments 3-6 months in advance). Depending on the event ie. wedding, on camera events, holiday party, it’s best to speak to your esthetician in order to get recommendations for your specific concern.

What if I don’t know which products are best for my skin type/condition?

It is not uncommon to not fully understand your skin and what it needs. Book a product consultation to go over your skin goals. The consultation price will be credited towards the price of products purchased on Ramglamesthetics.com within 24 hours of the consultation appointment.

What is a virtual facial?

During quarantine Virtual Facials became popular because of stay at home guidelines and facials were not allowed. Virtual facials are still an option for people that want to learn how to properly care for their skin in the comfort of their home guided by a professional, with professional products.

Why professional grade skincare products?

Professional grade skincare products that are only available by a skincare professional have a higher concentration of active ingredients. Professional grade products are made in smaller batches. This means you will use less product and see increased results with your skin. A skincare professional will have the opportunity to help you customize a skincare regimen that works for your skin with products that are only available from an expert skincare professional.
